You might remember Jacob Elordi as the hunk of man older brother, Noah that ends up getting with the female lead, Elle in that Netflix movie, Kissing Booth. And just when we thought that he’s just another pretty boy who can barely act, stuck in the role of a perpetually hot highschool student, he’s proven us wrong. Well, he still portrays a highschool It Boy in the new series, Euphoria but the depth of his acting has us hating him as the arrogant, twisted, douchebag.
Nate from Euphoria has slowly become the most abhorred character in the show as he shows his vile and stomach-churning ways when he continuously abuses people around him and fails to accept who truly is. Albeit gender being a spectrum with its fluidity, he’s such a torn up asswipe that his confusion leads him to extreme violence and weird manipulation tactics.
What’s truly amazing about Elordi’s portrayal of Nate is in how different he is from his character in real life. It only takes on look at the behind the scenes and interviews for us to see how soft-spoken and awkward Elordi is – a far cry from the rowdy, egoistic Nate.
And if his chilling scenes in Euphoria’s 8-episode season makes you hate him from your very core, then he’s succeeded in his representation of the evil, troubled boy. Elordi has become more than a pretty face with a Greek god’s body, his talent in the show actually shines through – and we’re pretty sure that we’re in love.
